The Nitecore UT27 MCT is a lightweight, dual power LED head torch designed for trail and long-distance runners. Utilising two quad core MCT UHE LEDs, the torch delivers up to 800 lumens, and features three colour temperature options plus an auxiliary red light, giving you the flexibility to match your lighting to the environment and your activity.

The UT27 MCT uses an optical dual-lens system with TrueVision+ technology to create a smooth, uniform flood beam. It offers three colour temperatures with different CRI values for more natural, comfortable lighting:

3000 K (CRI 97) - Warm White for fog, rain, snow, and close-up work

4500 K (CRI 83) - Neutral White for general outdoor use and natural colour rendering

6500 K (CRI 72) - Cool White for maximum clarity and distance

An auxiliary red light provides constant and slow-flash modes, helping preserve night vision and making it ideal for wildlife observation, astronomy, and low-impact signalling.

Power is provided by the included HLB1500 1500 mAh Li-ion battery pack or 3 × AAA batteries, giving excellent flexibility for extended use. The glow-in-the-dark battery compartment makes swaps easy in the dark, and the HLB1500 battery pack recharges in around 1.5 hours via its built-in USB-C port.

Four LED power indicators on the top of the lamp show remaining battery level, so you can quickly see when it’s time to recharge or change batteries. A highly efficient constant-current circuit and power management give stable output and runtimes of up to 14.5 hours at 100 lumens (using the HLB1500 pack).

Built for endurance, the UT27 MCT is IP66 water and dust resistant, impact resistant to 1 metre, and made from durable PC materials. The breathable, reflective headband offers a secure, comfortable fit, and the included diffusing stuff sack and clip let you use the UT27 MCT as an ambient lantern or attach it to a cap or strap.

Note: The outputs are measured in total of runtime, including output at reduced levels due to temperature or protection mechanisms in the design, causing the brightness level to drop down if the torch becomes too warm.

Tested to ANSI/PLATO FL 1-2019 standards using the included HLB1500 lithium-ion battery pack in laboratory conditions. The data may vary slightly in real world use depending on battery type, individual usage habits and environmental factors.

Small, powerful and robust.

The Ledlenser ML6 is a small compact unit, well built and very bright for its size. I can corroborate unlike some other lanterns it does not dazzle due to the lens design. Battery life on lower settings lasts ages, reasonable on higher settings. Personally I like the warm light version, but you may prefer the white light if you need to carry out detailed work. Lots of functionality including seamless brightness settings from low to high, red and red flashing, sos and much more. Fairly pricy, but you do get what you pay for in terms of build quality. Torch Direct, efficient and prompt as ever, wonderful service keep it up. I highly recommend this firm, I have had zero problems even when I had an item fail they replaced it no quibble 9 months on.
