Nitecore HC35 Rechargeable LED Head Torch

The HC35 is Nitecore's next generation of rechargeable head torch, now powered by a 21700 lithium-ion battery. It utilises 4 x Cree XP-G3 S3 LEDs for an astonishing output of 2700 lumens and a beam range of 134 metres on the high setting.

Unlike a traditional hand torch, the light does not come from the end of the torch and instead comes from the side of the torch making the HC35 a versatile unit. It can be used as a head torch with the hollow headband, which is lightweight, breathable and features reflective strips around the band to increase visibility. A top strap helps the head band stay in place on the head or a helmet and the torch sits securely in the bracket of the head band. When in the bracket it can be rotated within a 180° angle so you can aim the light where you need it most.

It can also easily be used in the hand, or when attached to a shirt pocket with the included clip the light is perfectly pointing outwards from the body so it can be used hands free. Another hands free feature is the magnetic base which allows simple attachment to a magnetic surface for a hassle free work environment.

Due to the high output, the HC35 requires a high drain rechargeable lithium-ion battery like the included Nitecore 21700 15 A high discharge NL2140HP or the torch is also compatible with the Nitecore 18650 8 A high discharge NL1835HP when using the battery adaptor. Other lithium-ion 21700 and 18650 batteries can be used, however they need to have a high discharge current of at least 8 A in order to work.

The HC35 can also use two CR123A lithium metal non rechargeable batteries or two 16340 recharge lithium-ion batteries with the included battery adaptor, however the turbo setting is unavailable if you are using these batteries and the torch cannot be charged with these batteries inserted.

Featuring a 100° wide angle beam the HC35 will illuminate everything in your field of vision and the beaded surface of the lens provides a soft uniform light, making it perfect for tasks where seeing around you is essential, such as dog walking, tent building or caving.

The single push button turns the torch on and off by pressing and holding for 1 second, then once the torch is on a single press will cycle through the modes of ultra-low, low, mid, high, turbo and the last used setting will be remembered next time the light is turned on. Instant turbo from off is accessed by holding the button for 1.5 seconds, coming on after the memorised brightness, and instant ultra-low from off is accessed by a single press. If these outputs are turned on via quick access it will not affect the memorised last used mode.

Three special modes of strobe, SOS and location beacon are also available and are accessed by quickly double pressing the button from off and then cycled through with single presses.

The integrated advance temperature regulation (ATR) technology regulates the output of the HC35 according to the working condition and ambient environment to maintain the optimal performance.

A built-in battery voltage indicator will display battery voltage each time the battery is installed and the tail cap is tightened. For example if the voltage is 4.2 V, it will flash four times then pause and then flash two more times.

Note: *The run-time for turbo is tested without temperature regulation. Only a 21700 or 18650 lithium-ion battery with at least 8 A high discharge current can access turbo.

Tested to ANSI/NEMA FL1 standards in laboratory conditions using the included 21700 5000 mAh lithium-ion battery. The data may vary slightly in real world use depending on battery type, individual usage habits and environmental factors.
