The Energizer Vision Ultra rechargeable head torch is lightweight and compact, with a maximum output of 400 lumens.

The Vision Ultra has four white lighting modes that all feature a dimming capability and also features red light, red flashing and green light modes. The right LED provides a wide flood beam, while the left LED is a focused spot beam. The first white high setting combines both beams for maximum coverage, the second setting is low, the third setting is flood high and the fourth is flood low.

All white settings are cycled through with the right hand button and once on the outputs can be dimmed by holding down the button, allowing you to select the brightness output between 10-100%.

The left hand button controls the colour settings and cycles through in the order of red, red flash and green. The red light preserves natural night vision and is also useful for night reading, animal watching and astronomy, while green light is good for map reading and is also the most visible colour spectrum to the human eye.

The Vision Ultra rechargeable is powered by a built-in lithium-ion battery that is recharged using the included micro USB cable. The light must be turned off to charge and a full charge takes approximately 4 hours.

It does the job fine like any cheap headlamp. The thing that threw me was last night after taking the dogs for a walk it suddenly cut out. No fading just suddenly dead. I've plugged it into the USB port on my laptop now it it works fine. Not a particularly good trait if rather than dog walking a few metres from my house I was bass fishing on some remote rocky mark covered in seaweed with a rising tide. Basically I don't trust it.

Still getting used to the head torch, it's replaced a very old one, I think it was an H2 ? This H5 Core is a lot brighter and just as easy to use. The only thing I find a bit difficult is opening the battery case with my arthritic hands.
Price was good as was the delivery time. Its a good torch 🔦!
