Coast A25R Rechargeable LED Torch Kit

The Coast A25R is a rechargeable version of the classic A25, and has now been upgraded to a maximum output of 1200 lumens. Still offering the same durable and easy to clean stainless steel body, it is bound to be just as popular with mechanics, technicians and other professional users.

Two brightness levels of high and low are available. They are accessed by turning the torch on with the tail cap switch for high, then off and on again for low.

The dual power system means that it can be powered by the included ZX750 USB-C rechargeable lithium-ion battery, or it can use four non-rechargeable AAA alkaline batteries, which is perfect as a back up if you run out of charge and are away from a power source. The A25R comes supplied with two lithium-ion batteries, so that one can be charging while the other is in use, or both can be charged up ready for a trip where charging may not be possible.

The ZX750 battery features a USB-C port built into the top of the battery so that it can be charged outside of the torch using the included USB-C to split USB-C/USB-A cable via a USB port or using a suitable mains/car charger (not included), which is great if you want to charge your battery and still continue using the torch with AAA batteries.

Using Coast's Pure Beam Focusing Optic System with Fingertip Speed Focus Control the A25R provides superior beam consistency from spot to flood and the Beam Lock System easily locks in your desired beam with a slight twist of the focusing bezel.

A holster, belt clip, lanyard and wall mount are all included to offer versatile storage and carrying options.

Low: 140 lumens; 10 hours run-time; 86 m beam range

Low: 85 lumens; 6 hours, 30 minutes run-time; 70 m beam range

This is how all online shopping should be!

I have a particular hate for torches where you have to press buttons 20 times just to get some light out of it! This makes it very difficult to pick a torch that fills all my other needs but also can be turned on (and off!) with a single button push!
The product descriptions are excellent (other vendors should think carefully about this point) and go into fine detail about how the torches are operated and how to select different modes that might be available.
On rare occasions where I might still have a query then being able to ask this directly and get informed answers is so refreshing and helpful.

I really wish all online purchases were like this.

The best I have owned

Although I have a rechargeable head torch already that I also bought from Torchdirect and was it was suitable for what I needed at that time, I needed a more powerful torch and having owned an Led lenser before and found it utterly reliable I decided to buy a head torch of the same brand. It was delivered very quickly. I have found my new purchase to be really good. Although it is a bit heavier than my old head torch I soon got used to it and I am more than satisfied.

Excellent Backup Battery

My Nebo torch takes an hour or two to fully charge so these batteries are great because they have their own charging port so you can still use the torch while these are charging via a USB c cable and then have them ready as a spare to use immediately if the battery in the torch runs out whilst you are using it.

There is a reason these guys are so highly rated, Im glad I decided to speak to them about what was apparently a "non fixable" LED Lenser torch. Everywhere else I tried, let me down and tried to sell me a new torch straight away, but I didn't want to give up so easily, so called these guys and I knew straight away I was speaking to the right people. Previous experience and checking out what is available now there are many keyring torches with a key fitting at the opposite end to the torch but not long enough to shine light on the keyhole and insert the key at the same time, therefore "Not fit for purpose" This one has a keyring already fitted and after fitting my keyring to this I have plenty of scope to shine the light on the keyhole and fit the key. Wonderful.

Love this torch

This torch is very small and light, but packs quite a punch with the 500 lumens.

OIt is to replace my Fenix E15, it is lighter and overall smaller but has an extra 50 lumens

I cannot fault it in any way!

Batteries are fine....

No problems with the batteries, performance is good ado what they say on the tin. Unfortunately the original P7 Signature wasn't and fried the new battery, the same as the one I had bought it to replace. Fortunately, Torch Direct preformed admirably as usual and just replaced the torch within a few days without any quibble. Wonderful service TD keep it up, I will be back again the next time I need a replacement item.
