Fenix GL23R Tactical Rail Light

The Fenix GL23R is a rechargeable weapon mountable hunting light. This versatile unit features both a 5 mw green laser and a white light with an incredible maximum output of 1200 lumens, the LED white beam and green laser can be operated independently or combined.

It is designed for handguns and supplied with both Glock (GL) and Picatinny (1913) rail inserts to fit a wide range of pistols, providing extensive compatibility.

The green laser provides remarkable accuracy and is mounted under the LED bezel to provide minimal laser offset between the point of aim and the point of impact at varying distances. Enduring 10,000 shock and impact tests and 5,000 rounds of simulated ammunition shooting tests the laser is still able to maintain laser accuracy of 2 MOA or less afterwards.

Included with 2 sets of spare switches, the GL23R is customisable to your preference and needs. The factory installed default switches provide versatile compatibility, the lower setting switches allow for fast and simple operation even when the user is wearing gloves or hands are wet, the extended switches decrease the distance from the switch to the users finger. To change the switches use the included allen key to remove the T4 screw on the tail switch, then replace the tail switch and screw the T4 screw back on. Users can choose to install two switches of different lengths based on their usage habits.

The dual switches are located at the rear of the light and can be operated with both hands. Rotate the toggle switch at the bottom of the light to select the designated mode. To operate the light rotate the bottom toggle switch from OFF to any mode and push the tail switches up to momentarily turn on the light, the light will go out as soon as you release the switches. To constantly turn the light on press the tail switches down then turn the toggle switch from off to any mode. Reset the tail switches to turn off the tactical light. With the tail switches pressed down, rotate the bottom toggle switch to cycle through Off / White Light / White Light + Green Laser / Green Laser.

To switch between the Glock mounting plate and the 1931 Picatinny rail plate (both included) choose the appropriate rail plate and loosen the rail clamp bolt, place the fixed portion of the rail clamp against the accessory rail and tighten the rail clamp bolt.

The windage adjustment is at the left side of the light. Turn the included Allen wrench clockwise or counter-clockwise to move the laser point. The elevation adjustment is located at the bottom of the light, turn the included Allen wrench clockwise or counter-clockwise to move the laser point. When making large adjustments there may be an interaction that causes the laser to move diagonally or bind. It may become necessary to rotate the opposing adjustment screw counter-clockwise to allow the laser cartridge to move to the desired position.

A Fenix 18350 mAh lithium-ion battery is included with the GL23R, and is recharged inside the light. To charge ensure the light is switched off, open the anti-dust cover to reveal the charging port, then connect the USB Type-C end of the charging cable to the tactical light. The indicator will display red while charging, and will turn to green when fully charged. The approximate charging time is 2 hours to be fully recharged. Please note that the light can not be operated whilst charging.

To access the battery indicator feature, turn the toggle switch to OFF, then push the tail switches up or down. The indicator will display the current battery level for 3 seconds. Green light on: 100% - 85%, Green light flashes: 85% - 50%, Red light on: 50% - 25%, Red light flashes: 25% - 1%.

The GL23R features an intelligent overheat protection system, the light will accumulate a lot of heat when used at high output levels for extended periods. When the light reaches a temperature of 60° C or above, the light will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature. When the temperature drops below 55° C, the light will gradually recall the pre-set output level.

Equipped with a low voltage warning feature, when the voltage level drops below the pre-set level, the light is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until it reaches 50 lumens. When this happens, the battery level indicator blinks to remind you to recharge or replace the battery.

Tested in laboratory conditions to ANSI/PLATO FL1 standard using 1 x Fenix ARB-L18-1100 lithium-ion rechargeable battery under the temperature of 21±3°C and humidity of 50% - 80%. Results may vary between torch, battery and environments.
