Nitecore SUMMIT 10000 Low Temperature Resistant USB-C 10000 mAh Power Bank

£129.90

The Nitecore SUMMIT 10000 is super compact with 10000 mAh capacity and is the world's first low temperature resistant power bank which can continue charging your devices in up to -40°C temperatures. Perfect for activities such as mountaineering, skiing or mountain search & rescue where the temperatures are much lower.

Traditionally power banks loose nearly all capacity in cold temperatures, however the SUMMIT 10000 maintains capacity with up to 70% still available at -20°C, which is all thanks to the high efficiency PI heating system to keep the battery working at an appropriate temperature to reduce the loss of power. A thermal insulation carrying pouch is also included for carrying the power bank to help reduce heat loss further, while the USB-C to USB-C cable features a braided design to help prevent cracking at low temperatures.

The body design is a unibody shell construction made from carbon fiber reinforced polymer, which provides extra strength and protection against impact with a drop resistance of 1.5 metres. The power bank has multiple safeguards such as overcurrent, short circuit, over-discharge, over charge, over voltage and thermal protection.

It is perfect for charging a range of devices such as torches, mobile phones, tablets, portable game consoles and thanks to the low current charging mode it is perfect for charging wearables such as wireless head phones and smart watches. External devices are easily and conveniently charged via either the 18 W standard USB-A QC (quick charge) port or the 20 W USB-C PD (power delivery) port that both has an output of up to 3 A. The four charging indicators will light up and gradually decrease as the external device is being charged.

To access the low current charging mode, simply hold the mode button and a white LED indicator will turn on to show low current mode has been accessed. Once you have charged your device on low current mode it is recommended to exit this mode by pressing the mode button and the white light turns off.

When the temperature of the SUMMIT 10000 is below 0°C the low temperature heating mode can be activated by pressing the mode button once and the red LED will come on to show heating mode has been accessed. Using the dual temperature detection modules the SUMMIT 10000 will also automatically enter this mode if an external device is plugged in, or the power bank is placed on charge at below 0°C. At -10°C and below the power bank will need to be preheated first before it will be ready to provide power. It is recommended to exit the heating mode once the device has finished being used by double pressing the mode button.

As well as an output, the USB-C PD port is also a 18 W input port for charging of the power bank itself using the included USB-C to USB-C cable. When connected to a USB-C power source the four blue LED charging indicators will flash in turn as it charges up, and all four lights will be solid blue once the SUMMIT 10000 is fully charged.

The mode button will also display the power status with a single press, so you always know how much power you have left when not in use, or while being discharged. Four lights is 100%, three lights is 75%, two lights is 50%, one light is 25% and one light flashing means the battery is near depletion and requires charging as soon as possible.

With a IPX5 rating, the SUMMIT 10000 is ready to accompany you on your adventures with rain or shine, making it a reliable and durable power source whether you're trekking up a mountain, camping or commuting. The SUMMIT 10000 is airline approved with a rated capacity of less than 100 Wh, which makes it the perfect compact travel companion for charging devices on the move.
