NEBO 450 Flex Rechargeable LED Torch

The NEBO 450 Flex utilises flex fuel technology which allows the torch to be powered by a rechargeable 14500 lithium-ion battery (included) or the Flex can also use a AA alkaline battery as a back up when you run out of charge .

The high power LED outputs an intensely bright beam of 450 lumens on the turbo output, which is designed as a boost setting, allowing 40 seconds output at a time in order to prevent the temperature of the torch becoming too high and thus protecting the LED. The high output is a constant setting of 250 lumens that lasts for 2 hours, 30 minutes and one other brightness settings is available as well as strobe. The 6x zoom allows you to focus the torch from spot to flood by twisting the head, offering great all-round illumination, making it perfect for searching or scanning large areas.

The side button operates all the functions of the torch. Press the button once to turn the light on in high, press again for low and press a third time for off. Double click the button with the torch on or off to access the strobe. To access the turbo simply hold the button down while the torch is on or off and the turbo will stay on for 40 seconds before reverting back to the last used setting, or high mode if the torch was originally off.

The included battery is charged inside the torch via the micro USB port which is on the neck of the torch and revealed by twisting the head of the torch into the spot focus position. The supplied cable is plugged into the micro USB port and then connected to a standard USB port or USB adaptor. The light around the button glows red while charging is in progress and turns blue once charging is complete.

The ring around the button is also a battery level indicator and will flash red when the battery power is 25% or less and then turn solid red when the battery power is 10% or less to indicate the battery needs charging.

A dual directional pocket clip allows the Flex to be easily attached to clothing, a backpack or even to a hat as a substitute for a head torch. The Flex also features a magnetic tail cap, so you can use it as a hands-free work light.

Great Basic Torch but not IP67 as claimed

Just needed a sturdy but powerful rechargeable torch and after having had some disappointments with bigger, cheaper Chinese versions via Ebay that went on the blink rapidly, I decided to buy this one, as my partner already has one and is happy with it. Nice and powerful for its small size and being able to clip it onto a hat is a bonus for me at work. One gripe though, the torch is listed as IP67 on the website, but the packaging stages IPX4 (the similar NEBO Davinci 450L Flex Rechargeable LED Torch shows IPX4 on the website). I think the listing should be amended as this rating was part of the reason I bought this model.

I have a particular hate for torches where you have to press buttons 20 times just to get some light out of it! This makes it very difficult to pick a torch that fills all my other needs but also can be turned on (and off!) with a single button push!
The product descriptions are excellent (other vendors should think carefully about this point) and go into fine detail about how the torches are operated and how to select different modes that might be available.
On rare occasions where I might still have a query then being able to ask this directly and get informed answers is so refreshing and helpful.

I really wish all online purchases were like this.

The best I have owned

Although I have a rechargeable head torch already that I also bought from Torchdirect and was it was suitable for what I needed at that time, I needed a more powerful torch and having owned an Led lenser before and found it utterly reliable I decided to buy a head torch of the same brand. It was delivered very quickly. I have found my new purchase to be really good. Although it is a bit heavier than my old head torch I soon got used to it and I am more than satisfied.

Excellent Backup Battery

My Nebo torch takes an hour or two to fully charge so these batteries are great because they have their own charging port so you can still use the torch while these are charging via a USB c cable and then have them ready as a spare to use immediately if the battery in the torch runs out whilst you are using it.

There is a reason these guys are so highly rated, Im glad I decided to speak to them about what was apparently a "non fixable" LED Lenser torch. Everywhere else I tried, let me down and tried to sell me a new torch straight away, but I didn't want to give up so easily, so called these guys and I knew straight away I was speaking to the right people. Previous experience and checking out what is available now there are many keyring torches with a key fitting at the opposite end to the torch but not long enough to shine light on the keyhole and insert the key at the same time, therefore "Not fit for purpose" This one has a keyring already fitted and after fitting my keyring to this I have plenty of scope to shine the light on the keyhole and fit the key. Wonderful.

Love this torch

This torch is very small and light, but packs quite a punch with the 500 lumens.

OIt is to replace my Fenix E15, it is lighter and overall smaller but has an extra 50 lumens

I cannot fault it in any way!

Batteries are fine....

No problems with the batteries, performance is good ado what they say on the tin. Unfortunately the original P7 Signature wasn't and fried the new battery, the same as the one I had bought it to replace. Fortunately, Torch Direct preformed admirably as usual and just replaced the torch within a few days without any quibble. Wonderful service TD keep it up, I will be back again the next time I need a replacement item.
