The Ledlenser 2025 P-Series has been stripped back, refreshed, and rebuilt to perform. The P7 is the iconic model of the range, delivering up to 650 lumens with outstanding beam reach. Compact yet powerful, it’s long been a favourite for both professional and everyday use, and now features a more sustainable 75% recycled aluminium body.

The Advanced Focus System with Rapid Focus technology allows you to switch seamlessly between flood and spot lighting by sliding the head forwards and backwards, with the beam reaching an impressive 400 metres when focused into a spot. Supplied with a wrist lanyard and four AAA alkaline batteries (included), the P7 is ready to perform straight out of the box, and is also compatible with rechargeable NiMH batteries for added flexibility.

Its intuitive tail switch provides easy access to three brightness levels of low, mid, and high. Tap quickly to cycle modes while the torch is off, then fully press to lock it in, or turn the torch fully on/off in quick succession.

The beam emits a cool white glow with a colour temperature of around 6000 K to 7500 K and a CRI of 70, ensuring crisp, reliable lighting whether for large area illumination or emergency backup.

The 2025 P-Series also features updated packaging that’s more compact, fully FSC-certified with a cardboard outer and bamboo inner, and designed to reduce waste. A smarter, more sustainable choice, without compromising protection.

Let there be light - lots of it

I bought this Ledlenser AF2R Work Rechargeable LED Floodlight as much for emergency lighting when we get sudden power cuts, as for its intended purpose. The light emitted is even, non-focussing, and with five levels of white light and two of red light (can the latter be used in a darkroom?).
Currently the light is attached by its magnets to the side of the fridge, ready for use when needed; there is a loop at one end for hanging it from a hook, and straps to attach it to one's arm etc., all in all very useful. And there is no need to worry about replacing batteries, or having them rot in the torch through lack of use, as the torch is rechargeable via a USB-C cable (both ends are USB-C).
The sides of the casing are etched with measurements in both imperial (inches) and metric.

Uv torch

This is an updated review. Having spoken to torch direct they were extremely helpful and would exchange the uv light for a better one over I knew the criteria of the torch I was comparing it with.
I have to say though I was overwhelmed by the customer service of this company. It was good to speak with someone on the phone. I would certainly recommend this company.

Fabulous Headtorch

I have owned Coast head torches before but have found them to be a little front heavy at times when worn all day and working under vehicles. I tried this torch instead and it is much more comfortable for all day wear. The battery life for the light output is outstanding and it charges fairly quickly. My big criticism of the Coast head torches is that you can't get replacement straps for them (at least I have never been able to find them) and I have a head torch that still works perfectly but the strap is knackered, which seems a waste of a torch. Come on Coast, wake up and offer replacement head bands. Highly recommend the torches nevertheless, they are unbeatable, in my opinion.

This is how all online shopping should be!

I have a particular hate for torches where you have to press buttons 20 times just to get some light out of it! This makes it very difficult to pick a torch that fills all my other needs but also can be turned on (and off!) with a single button push!
The product descriptions are excellent (other vendors should think carefully about this point) and go into fine detail about how the torches are operated and how to select different modes that might be available.
On rare occasions where I might still have a query then being able to ask this directly and get informed answers is so refreshing and helpful.

I really wish all online purchases were like this.

The best I have owned

Although I have a rechargeable head torch already that I also bought from Torchdirect and was it was suitable for what I needed at that time, I needed a more powerful torch and having owned an Led lenser before and found it utterly reliable I decided to buy a head torch of the same brand. It was delivered very quickly. I have found my new purchase to be really good. Although it is a bit heavier than my old head torch I soon got used to it and I am more than satisfied.
