Fenix LR40R V2.0 Rechargeable LED Searchlight

The Fenix LR40R V2.0 is a high performance rechargeable searchlight that delivers a maximum output of 15000 lumens and a beam range of 900 when the separate flood light and spot light are combined. The LR40R V2.0 caters for numerous outdoor and extreme environments such as search and rescue or cave exploration.

The Luminus SFT70 LED provides a spotlight than can reach up to 900 metres with a maximum output of 3000 lumens in the high setting. Surrounding the central LED are 16 Lumiled HL2X LED's that provide flood lighting with a maximum output of 12000 lumens and a beam range of 340 metres on the turbo setting.

The lighting modes are selected using a rotating toggle, simply turn to the required mode then push the central push button for 0.5 seconds to turn the light on. Each press after will cycle through eco, low, mid, high and turbo (in floodlight and combined settings). Press and hold the button for 1.2 seconds in any state to access the strobe, then single press to change to SOS and press once more to return to the previously used setting. The last used setting will be remembered next time the light is turned on except for in spotlight mode, where the torch will always turn on in the low setting.

To prevent accidental activation the LR40R V2.0 has a lockout function, to access the lockout function turn the rotating toggle to the lock symbol.

While in lockout mode you are able to access the intelligent brightness downshifting mode which allows the torch to automatically downshift the brightness level to prevent danger caused by high temperatures. Hold the push button for ten seconds and the torch will flash twice to let you know it has entered the sensor function. To turn the function off, put the torch in lockout mode and hold for ten seconds, the torch will flash eight times to let you know the sensor function is now disabled.

The LR40R V2.0 is powered by the rechargeable three built in 5000 mAh batteries. The included battery pack is charged inside the torch via the USB Type-C charging port, which is located on the neck of the torch. Lift the dust cover and plug in the USB Type-C cable at one end and plug the standard USB-A end into a USB port or a USB adaptor. The LR40R V2.0 can also be operated as a power bank using the USB-A charging port under the dust cover. The five charging indicators that sit above the two buttons will gradually illuminate until all four are solid to show charging is complete, the torch takes only fours hours to fully charge from empty. The five LED indicators also light up when the button is pressed. Five LEDs is 80-60% power, three LEDs is 60-40% power, two LEDs is 40-20% power and one LED is 20-1%.

Please note:
To avoid overheating the temperature protection in the torch will lower the output of the torch if the temperature reaches 60°C using high output modes.
