The Fenix HL12R V2.0 is a lightweight, rechargeable headlamp designed for outdoor enthusiasts, perfect for trail running, hiking, camping, and general use where a compact and efficient light is preferred.

Powered by a built-in 950 mAh Li-polymer battery, the HL12R V2.0 delivers a maximum output of 500 lumens and boasts an impressive runtime of 112 hours in low mode.  It features a Luminus SST20 White LED for neutral white light and a 2835 Red LED, ideal for preserving night vision or for signalling.

Two independent switches located on the top of the headlamp allow for easy and separate control of the white and red light outputs. Recharging is convenient via the USB-C port located on the back of the torch. 

For enhanced safety and visibility, the headband is designed with reflective strips.  The HL12R V2.0 also incorporates an intelligent overheat protection system to prevent high surface temperatures by automatically stepping down brightness, and a lockout function to prevent accidental activation during transport or storage.

The headlamp also includes a battery level indicator to show the remaining power, activated with a single press of either button while off to display the indicator LEDs for 3 seconds. The temperature regulation will automatically step down the brightness if the torch is constantly used in high and becomes too hot (60°C). Once the torch has cooled the high mode can be reselected again.

Tested to ANSI / PLATO FL1 standard using the built-in 950 mAh lithium polymer battery pack under the temperature of 21±3°C and humidity of 50% - 80%. Results may vary between torch, battery and environments.

Excellent high quality Fenix light

I have a number of headlights and torches and I use them constantly for work. Despite that I needed a small medium brightness light of low weight for a specific application and this seemed ideal and in practice it is in fact ideal. The quality of construction is excellent as is the design. The corners are chamfered making it comfortable and smaller in use than it first appears.
The rotary switch used to turn it on is better in use than I expected and is the main selling point for me, if you know you know. The red LED is very bright compared to those in my Acebeam H30s and i prefer it over those by far for red illumination.
All in all an idiosyncratic but excellent light.
If you need such a light this is a very good item.

Fits compatible head sizes with no problems. It was a very snug with some effort required to remove it, so no concerns about it coming off accidentally. Overall an excellent product, with great service.

This is my third Solitaire I have bought. The 47 lumens are good if I need more Lume I have other Maglites.
Having tried other makes I have found wanting, why do I need a Lume that will burn my retina out !!!

Compact and surprisingly bright torch

The Zippy is a an impressively bright key ring torch produced by Armytek. The build quality is excellent and it appears robust enough to last for several years. A feature which I appreciated, was the button switch, which is preferable to the method employed on other torches of having to twist the lamp on a screw thread. These can come apart if you twist too far. With a button this isn't a problem.

replaced the one I lost

I bought this to replace the one I lost, after using it every day each winter for decades, and often to light up the foreground at night when taking photos of aurora etc. It's even better than the old one, as this grey version has a bright LED, and for night photography its colour is closer to the daylight white I want.
