Fenix E20 V2.0 AA LED Torch

The Fenix E20 V.20 updates the 2015 edition, offering a high maximum output of 350 lumens from a Luminous SST20 LED that is all contained in a smaller compact body, while still utilising two AA alkaline or NiMH batteries.

The smaller size is partly thanks to an ultra thin 3 mm optical lens, that is 4 mm smaller than the average lens, and features the same anti reflective coating used on car head lights to provide a clear and stable beam.

The E20 V2.0 has a central beam angle of 12° combined with a spill beam angle of 85°, which offers a soft wide lighting area perfect for comfortable up close work. Equally it is capable of shining up to 126 metres on the highest setting should the distance be required, making the torch a superb companion for tradesmen and general every day use.

Four brightness settings are controlled with the tail switch by fully pressing it in to turn the turn on and off. The modes are cycled through with the torch on in the order of eco, low, mid and high with half presses of the tail switch.

A low voltage warning function will gradually reduce the output until eco is reached if the battery voltage is no longer sufficient to support the current brightness level, and will remain in eco until the batteries are completely drained or replaced.

The intelligent overheat protection monitors the temperature, and if it reaches 58°C in the high mode the output will automatically reduce by 1% every second until mid mode is reached in order to reduce the temperature and protect the LED. Once cooled the torch will start to increase in output again, or the torch can be reset by turning it off and on again.

Note: We recommend unscrewing the tail cap by a half turn or removing the batteries to prevent accidental activation or battery leakage when not in use.

Low: 30 lumens; 34 hours, 30 minutes run-time; 35 m beam range
Mid: 150 lumens; 5 hours, 30 minutes run-time; 76 m beam range
High: 350 lumens; 1 hour, 30 minutes run-time; 126 m beam range*

Lab tested using the included AA alkaline batteries and Eneloop 1900 mAh NiMH batteries. The above parameters are approximate and may vary between torch, batteries and environments.

Note: *High run-time is measured as the total run-time including when the output level is reduced due to temperature regulation.
