The Fenix ARB-L16-700UP is a premium quality high capacity 16340, 700 mAh lithium-ion battery specifically designed for high intensity torch use, but unlike the standard ARB-L16-700U USB battery, this version has a high continuous discharge current of 2.5 A.
As well as being able to charge in a battery charger (Fenix charger recommended) the ARB-L16-700UP has an additional feature that sets it apart from standard 16340 batteries as it has a built-in micro USB charging port in the top of the battery.
A HDC battery is required with certain torches, such as the Fenix E16, in order for the torch to draw enough power from the battery to access the highest brightness setting. This battery will not increase the brightness of other models of torch unless the torch is specifically designed with a high output that requires a high discharge current battery.
Using a standard Micro USB charging cable this battery can be easily charged up which is not only convenient but can also save money on buying a separate charger. A charging indicator will glow red once the charging cable is plugged in and connected to power to show charging is in progress and it will turn blue once charging is complete.
NOTE: Please check the dimensions of your intended application before purchasing, as the slightly increased length and diameter of these batteries means that they may not fit some older products.
