Purchased this UV torch with focusing ability for our work in fine art conservation. Very pleased with the quality of the product and service from Torch Direct. The ability to focus the intensity of the beam is particularly useful, allowing it to be used effectively in ambient light conditions. Highly recommended as a portable tool for examining works of art and other painted surfaces encountered the heritage field (wall paintings/historic buildings etc...)
This torch attracted my attention 'cos it can use a 3.7v lithium 18650 cell, which gives it a much longer run time than the 3 AAA cells supplied. The lithium cell is a bit slim for the torch barrel, but it settles in when the end cap is tightened down. I would have given it the extra star except that it won't show Smartwater markings. For all the other UV uses it seems fine.
Good solid body and lens.
