The Nitecore NPB4 is a compact power bank equipped with a built-in 20,000 mAh lithium-ion battery that is comprised of four 5000 mAh 21700 cells.
It is perfect for charging a range of devices such as torches, mobile phones, tablets, portable game consoles etc via either the two standard USB-A ports, or the USB-C port on the top with a output of up to 3 A per port (18 W max).
As well as an output, the USB-C port is also an input to charge the internal battery via the included USB-C cable, and there is a secondary micro USB input port also. When connected to a USB power source the blue LED charging indicators USB port will flash in turn as it charges up, and all three lights will be solid blue once the NPB2 is fully charged.
The three blue indicators will also display battery status so you always know how much power you have by tapping the touch icon on the side, or while being discharged. Three lights is 100%, two lights is 70%, one light is 30% and the last light flashing means the battery is near depletion and requires charging. The charging port has a high strength, waterproof o-ring and advanced glue pouring technology ensures the components are kept safe inside the power bank.
With a IP68 rating, the NPB4 is fully dust proof and waterproof, as well as being drop resistant to 1 metre and withstands extremely low temperatures of -10°C, making it a reliable and durable power source whether you're caving, trail running or commuting.
As this power bank is compatible with the HU60, it features a metal cable lock on both USB-A outputs that works with the cable design of the HU60 to prevent it accidentally being disconnected when in use. Simply slide the metal slider upwards on the side of the power bank to use it, or when not in use it can be slid down so that is tucked out of the way.
There is a nylon holster included to protect your power bank and enable it to be mounted onto molle clothing or a backpack with the velcro straps while being used as a power source, which is handy if you need to keep power while on the go.
The NPB4 features multiple safeguards such as overcurrent, short circuit, over-discharge, over charge, over voltage and thermal protection and is also airline approved with a rated capacity of less than 100 Wh, which makes it the perfect compact travel companion for charging devices on the move.
