The Nitecore NPB2 is a compact power bank equipped with a built-in 10,000 mAh lithium-ion battery that is comprised of two 21700 cells.
It is perfect for charging a range of devices such as torches, mobile phones, tablets etc via the two standard USB-A ports on the top with a QC 3.0 output of up to 2.4 A per port (18 W max), and is compatible with the Nitecore HU60 USB head torch.
It features a micro USB port in the top to charge the internal battery via the included micro USB cable. When connected to a USB power source the blue LED charging indicators under the micro USB port will flash in turn as it charges up, and all three lights will be solid blue once the NPB2 is fully charged. The charging port has a high strength, waterproof O-ring and advanced glue pouring technology ensures the components are kept safe inside the power bank.
The three blue indicators will also display battery status so you always know how much power you have by tapping the touch icon on the side, or while being discharged. Three lights is 100%, two lights is 70%, one light is 30% and the last light flashing means the battery is near depletion and requires charging.
With a IP68 rating, the NPB2 is fully dust proof and waterproof up to 2 metres depth for 30 minutes, as well as being drop resistant to 1 metre and withstands extremely low temperatures of -10°C, making it a reliable and durable power source whether you're caving, trail running or commuting.
As this power bank is specially designed for the HU60, it features a metal cable lock on both outputs that works with the cable design of the HU60 to prevent it accidentally being disconnected when in use. Simply slide the metal slider upwards on the side of the power bank to use it, or when not in use it can be slid down so that is tucked out of the way. There is also a metal hanging hook which is useful for suspending the power bank from a carabiner hook (not included) to attach it to clothing or a backpack while being used as a power source.
The NPB2 features multiple safeguards such as overcurrent, short circuit, over-discharge, over charge, over voltage and thermal protection and is also airline approved with a rated capacity of less than 100 Wh, which makes it the perfect compact travel companion for charging devices on the move.
