The Nitecore NL2150R is a high capacity 21700, 5000 mAh lithium-ion battery and features a USB-C charging port to remove the need for an external charger.
As well as being able to charge in a battery charger (Nitecore charger recommended) the NL2150R has an additional feature that sets it apart from standard 21700 batteries as it has a built-in USB-C charging port, which is not only convenient but can also save money on buying a separate charger.
Using a USB Type C charging cable (not included) this battery can be easily charged up via the USB-C charging port that is located at the positive anode of the battery. A charging indicator will glow red once the charging cable is plugged in and connected to power to show charging is in progress and it will turn green once charging is complete.
As with all Nitecore batteries, safety is paramount and the NL2150R cell has a range of internal features to keep you and your devices as safe as possible. The 21700 battery has an innovative anode design with high temperature resistance, built-in PTC to inhibit high current surges, pressure relief valve which activates in the event of a rapid temperature increase and a microporous barrier that protects the delicate internal components. Externally, the cell is equipped with nickel-plated stainless steel protectors at both ends and is coated with a durable metallic film to guard against abrasion.
The 21700 is recommended to use with the following Nitecore chargers: UI1, UI2, UM2, UM4, UMS2 and UMS4.
Please note: You will need to purchase a USB Type C cable or suitable battery charger if you do not have one. This battery is larger than an 18650 battery and cannot be used in standard 18650 sized torches. To extend battery life it is recommended that it is charged every three months when unused for long periods.
