Fenix HM75R Rechargeable LED Head Torch

The Fenix HM75R is an industrial rechargeable head torch with multiple power options, an output of up to 1600 lumens, both a spot and flood beam, plus a red light and powerbank function.

With dual power options the HM75R has an impressive beam range of up to 223 metres and features a Luminus SST40 cool white LED, two Luminus SST20 neutral white LED's and a Osram GRQSSPA1.23 red LED.

To turn the torch on turn the rotary switch counter clockwise to cycle through the spotlight, floodlight and red light. To turn off, turn clockwise to the off position. While in the desired output press the switch within the rotary switch to cycle through the low, medium, high and turbo output in the white light outputs or flash in the red output. 

The HM75R features dual power sources for extended running times. The included Fenix 18650 lithium-ion battery sits under the headtorch, while the included Fenix 21700 sits in a separate battery pack. To connect the 21700 battery pack to the head torch use the included USB-C cables. The shorter cable is perfect for clipping the battery pack to the back of the head torch using included clip of the battery pack, while the longer cable is good for storing the battery pack in a secure pocket or bag.

To charge the 18650 battery simply lift the dust cover on the right side of the head torch and connect a USB-C cable to the torch and the other end to a suitable USB power source. The charging indicators on the top of the torch will flash in sequence until the battery is full charged. To charge the 21700 battery, lift the dust cover and connect a USB-C cable to the torch and the other end to a suitable USB power source. The battery indicator inside the button on the battery pack will display red while charging is in progress and turn green once charging is complete.

While off, pressing the side button on the head torch will display the battery level of the 18650 battery for three seconds, or turning the torch on will display the battery level. Four indicators show 100-80%, three show 80-60%, two show 60-40%, one shows 40-20% and one light flashes indicates 20-1% charge remaining. Pressing the button on the 21700 battery will display the battery level for three seconds with a green light indicating 100-85%, green light flashing 85-50%, red light 50-25% and red light flashing indicates 25-1% charge remaining.

The head torch can be operated while charging however only the low and medium outputs are available when using a 5V charger. The turbo output is only available when using a 9V charging cable. The first time using after connecting to a power source the torch will flash twice on low when using a 5V charger and four times on low when using a 9V charger before returning to the previous output.

The HM75R 21700 battery pack features a power bank function for on the go charging. Simply press the button on the battery pack and the battery will begin discharging.

The headband is comfortable and adjustable, has a silicone strip on the inside that channels sweat and rain away from the eyes and the weaved design is hollow to not only reduce the weight but also provide more breathability and comfort. On the outer part of the headband there are reflective strips, which are excellent for enhanced visibility. The headlamp bracket is ergonomically designed to comfortably fit the curvature of the head and it also allows the head torch to be tilted within a 90° angle.

For extra durability and resilience the HM75R is made from lightweight aluminium is waterproof to IPX8 standard.

Tested in laboratory conditions to ANSI/PLATO FL1 standard using 1 x Fenix 5000 mAh 21700 lithium-ion rechargeable battery under the temperature of 21±3°C and humidity of 50% - 80%. Results may vary between torch, battery and environments.
