The D20 1000 is the smallest of the Xtar diving range, but still features an impressive output of 1000 lumens white light on the maximum setting, utilising a Cree XP-L V6 LED. It is rated for underwater use and can be used up to a depth of 50 metres.

It has a good throw for it's size and has a beam range that can reach up to 103 metres distance.

The magnetic selector ring switch provides smooth operation and can be twisted to cycle through the outputs in the order of high, mid and SOS. The knurled design on the ring ensures good grip so you can easily use it one handed.

The D20 is powered by a 18650 lithium-ion battery and a Xtar 2600 mAh 18650 is included with this kit, which is easily recharged in the provided Ant MC1 plus single bay battery charger.

A sturdy lanyard is included to keep the D20 securely on your wrist.

Operational Modes

High: 1000 lumens; 4 hours run-time
Low: 590 lumens; 7 hours, 20 minutes run-time
SOS: 590 lumens

The above parameters are approximate and are lab tested to ANSI standards using a Xtar 3500 mAh lithium-ion battery. Results may vary between torch, battery and environment. As the supplied battery is a lower capacity than used for testing, the run-times will be shorter with the included battery than shown above.

Powerful little torch

This torch throws a lot of light for its size. Small enough to fit in a pouch as a back up but could also be used as a travel primary for recreational diving and lighting up holes & crevices.

I'm very happy with this device. Initially I thought the slider mechanism felt a bit flimsy, but I have now worked through my stock of old batteries and everything works well. A bonus for me is that it will also test button cells, which my previous tested did not. Overall, a good piece of kit at a good price.

Amazing little torch

Even through I’d check the dimensions the torch was much smaller than I expected when it arrived. It feels great in hand, very robust and machined to a high standard. Various modes to choose from and when on high it is amazing how much light this tiny torch produces. Run time seems fine so far also. If in doubt, buy it and you won’t regret. As a side note, Torch Direct…. Quick and efficient service. Full marks :)
