Nitecore MT06MD Penlight LED Torch

The Nitecore MT06MD is a compact, slim torch, taking inspiration from a classic pen design in it's appearance that is designed for medical personnel and first responders.

It utilises a high colour rendering (CRI ≥ 90) Nichia 219B LED that outputs a light profile that resembles that of sunlight, thus allowing medical personnel to see every detail of the object, helping them to make an accurate diagnose. The LED is also rated a RG0 in accordance with the IEC/EN62471 photobiological safety standards, thus eliminating the potential of optical safety issues like the blue-light hazard.

These safety standards means that the torch can be used for pupil inspection on the low 4 lumens setting, and as the torch always turns on in low first, you will always have the correct brightness ready to go. Mid and high modes are also available and are good for inspection tasks, such as checking people over for injuries.

Powered by either two AAA alkaline non-rechargeable batteries or two AAA NiMH rechargeable batteries, the MT06MD weighs in at just 22 grams without the batteries fitted, and has a beam range of 58 metres.

The MT06MD is constructed from hard anodised aero grade aluminium alloy offering a fully metal surface with an IPX8 rating, which means it is fully waterproof and can be submerged in alcohol for sterilisation purposes.

With the lightweight, slim-line body it can be conveniently carried in your pocket, backpack or clipped on to your paperwork.
