Fenix E09R Rechargeable LED Mini Torch

The Fenix E09R is a compact rechargeable torch with easy one hand operation that can provide a bright 600 lumens momentary burst output, or a maximum of 300 lumens constant output.

Weighing only 45 grams the E09R is perfect for everyday carry, camping, general use and can easily be suspended from a set of keys via the rear loop using the included key ring.

It is powered by a built-in 800 mAh lithium polymer rechargeable battery which is recharged via the USB-C charging port that is concealed on the body of the torch. Loosen the body at the indicated arrow section to reveal the port and plug in the included USB-C cable at one end and plug the other end into a standard USB-A port or a compatible USB adaptor. The charging indicator will go red while charging is in progress and turn green once charging is complete after approximately 1 hour.

Five brightness levels are available and are controlled using the metal side switch. To turn on the light hold the button for 0.5 seconds, and then single press to cycle through moonlight, low, mid and high. To access the 600 lumen burst press and hold the button for 1.2 seconds to turn it on, and it will stay on while the button is held and revert back to moonlight mode when the button is released. The E09R will remember the last used output excluding the burst next time it is turned back on.

To prevent accidental activation when not in use while stowed in a pocket or backpack, the E09R has a handy lockout function. To activate the lockout quickly double press the button within 0.5 seconds while the light is off and the light will blink twice on moonlight to indicate the lockout status. It can be unlocked in the same way and will turn on in the moonlight mode. If the button is pressed while in lockout the light will blink twice in moonlight.

The torch will generate a lot of heat when used in turbo, therefore the overheat protection will automatically reduce the output when the internal temperature reaches 60° in order to protect the LED from overheating, and once the torch has cooled the turbo mode can be reselected.

Tested in laboratory conditions to ANSI/PLATO FL1 standard using the built-in 800 mAh lithium polymer rechargeable battery under the temperature of 21±3°C and humidity of 50% - 80%. Results may vary between torch, battery and environments.
