The Nitecore FSP100 is a foldable solar panel capable of providing up to 100 W output to power or charge external devices via the DC port, 15 W via 2 x USB-A ports or 45 W the USB-C port.
The solar panel folds down to a compact size similar to that of a laptop, and features a handle on the outer case for easy portability. The highly translucent panels provide excellent mildew and water resistance, and the out case is made from wearproof and weatherproof materials (although it should not be used or stored in wet conditions as it is not fully waterproof). When folded out it has 8 panels that have an outstanding cell efficiency of 24%, which is 60% higher than conventional solar panels.
It has a voltage stabilising module which can regulate the output voltage depending on the weather, to ensure a stable output and safe charging process, and also features mono-crystalline silicone to achieve a stable energy conversion even on an overcast day.
Direct charging of external devices such as a mobile phone, power bank or torch is possible via either one of the two USB-A ports or via the USB-C port, and with sufficient sunlight multiple devices can be charged at once. It is also compatible with the Nitecore NPS series of power stations (sold separately) which can store the power generated by the solar panel for later use, and uses the circular DC port.
To achieve optimum output, position the panels in direct sunlight, which can be done by hanging the solar panel off the side of a truck or tent (for example) using the fabric loops, or folding it in half vertically to stand it up on flat ground in a triangle shape.
Please Note: The FSP100 does not contain a battery and therefore is unable to store any power generated, however with sufficient sunlight it can be used to charge power banks or the compatible Nitecore NPS series of power stations. Always fully read the safety information in the product manual before use.
