Fenix LD30R Rechargeable LED Torch

The Fenix LD30R is an updated compact torch that offers 1700 lumens maximum output from the Luminus SST40 white LED.

It is powered by the included 18650 lithium-ion rechargeable battery, which can be charged via the USB-C port using the included USB cable. The indicator will turn red while charging is in progress and green once charging is complete. It is also compatible with two CR123A non-rechargeable lithium metal batteries which is useful in an emergency situation. Never attempt to charge CR123A batteries inside the torch.

Five brightness levels, plus strobe and SOS mode are available and operated with the tactical tail switch and side functional switch. The LD30R is turned on and off with the tactical tail switch by fully pressing it down, and it also offers a momentary function by half pressing the button (the light will turn off when the button is released). Once the torch is on, the side switch will cycle through moonlight, low, mid, high and turbo with each press.

Strobe is activated by holding the side switch and a single press will change the output to SOS. To return the torch to the previous brightness setting press and hold the side button again. The last used brightness setting (excluding strobe and SOS) will be remembered next time the light is turned on.

A built-in battery level indicator in the centre of the side switch displays the battery status for 3 seconds each time the torch is turned on. It will show either a solid green, green flashing, solid red or red flashing light. A low battery voltage warning function is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level when the voltage drops below the preset level. Once it reaches eco output the battery level indicator will flash to remind you to charge your 18650 battery.

Intelligent overheat protection will automatically downshift the brightness output to reduce the heat of the torch. Full details of the output reduction can be found in the manual.

The two way body clip allows for versatile attachment and the small size makes it easy for carrying in a pocket, handbag or backpack.

Tested to ANSI/PLATO FL1 standard using 1 x Fenix ARB-L18-3500 lithium-ion rechargeable battery in laboratory conditions. Results may vary between torch, battery and environments.
