The Fenix E35R replaces the E35 V3.0, offering a maximum output of 3100 lumens from the updated Luminus SST70 white LED.

It is powered by a 21700 lithium-ion rechargeable battery and included is the Fenix ARB-L21-5000 V2.0 rechargeable lithium-ion battery, which is charged internally via the USB-C charging port on the torch using the included USB-C charging cable for fast charging.

Five brightness levels and strobe are available and are operated with the side switch. Turn the torch on by holding the button for 0.5 seconds and then each press cycles through the modes of eco, low, mid, high and turbo. Hold the switch for 0.5 seconds again to turn the light off. Strobe is activated by holding the button for 1.2 seconds with the light on and a single press will exit strobe. The last used setting except turbo, high & strobe will be remembered next time the light is turned on.

To prevent accidental activation the E35R has an electronic lockout. It is accessed by two quick presses of the button while the light is off and the torch will blink twice to indicate it has entered lock-out mode, and can be unlocked in the same way.

A built-in battery level indicator displays the battery status for 3 seconds when the button is single pressed with the light off. It will show either a solid green, green flashing, solid red or red flashing light. A low battery voltage warning function is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level when the voltage drops below the preset level. Once it reaches low output it will blink red to remind you to charge your battery.

Intelligent overheat protection will automatically downshift the brightness slightly if the internal temperature reaches 60°C or above in turbo or high mode, and once the torch has cooled it will allow the user to reselect the higher outputs.

The base of the torch is magnetic, which is useful for hands free operation when carrying out tasks such as car maintenance.

Note: *The Turbo mode is measured at total run-time including any reduced output levels due to the temperature regulation design.

Tested in laboratory conditions to ANSI/PLATO FL1 standard using the Fenix ARB-L21-5000 V2.0 battery under the temperature of 21±3°C and humidity of 50% - 80%. Results may vary between torch, battery and environments.
