Coast SPG500 Safety Glasses with Built-in LED Torch

Coast's latest innovation combines their LED inspection light technology with eye wear to provide high quality rechargeable safety glasses with a built in light for ease of use while on the job.

The SPG500 safety glasses themselves are impact resistant and have been tested against the ANSI/ISEA Z87.1-2015 standard for personal eye and face protection devices. The premium Z87+U6 clear lenses feature anti-fog and scratch resistance, and filters UV light to provide sun protection on the work site. There is also a set of yellow lenses that can be swapped over to help ehance contrast and depth perception in low light conditions, such as overcast, hazy or foggy conditions.

An equivalent of Coast's inspection penlight is built into the right arm of the glasses, yet still provides a non bulky sleek wrap around design. Unlike others on the market, the Coast inspection beam sits perfectly in your field of vision, so you can easily see what you need to inspect hands free at the push of a button, which is located on the right hand side also. One press will access high, a second will drop to low and a third will turn off the light.

With high and low outputs, the light is designed for mid range lighting tasks on the highest output and delivers a bulls-eye spot beam which is surrounded by a halo of transitional light to increase the total field of view and has a run-time of up to 11 hours, 30 minutes on low mode from a full charge of the built-in battery. To recharge the battery simply plug the included cable into the micro USB port which can be found on the underside of the left arm of the glasses, and the other end into a USB power source. The charging indicator will go red to show charging is in progress and go green once charging is complete.

Padding on the nose piece and soft rubberised arms help provide a comfortable and secure fit, while the included glasses retainer lanyard can also be fitted and adjusted for extra security. A pull string pouch is also included to keep your glasses (and the charging port!) clean and free from dirt when not in use.
