Nitecore NU05 MI Mini Rechargeable LED Signal Light

The Nitecore NU05 MI is an ultra compact, light weight and durable signal light that is the Military version within the NU05 series. It features an Infrared light (940 nm wavelength) and green light outputs and is designed with military in mind, or anyone who has use for a Infrared or green signal light.

Four outputs are available from four high performance LEDs that comprise of IR flashing, IR beam, green flashing and green beam. Infrared output is invisible to the naked eye and requires night vision equipment to be seen, therefore is perfect for military personnel to see each other without drawing unwanted attention to themselves.

A single button is located in the centre of the light and controls all outputs. Turn it on by holding down the button for over 1 second and the light will come on in the IR flashing setting and each press will then cycle through to IR beam, green flashing and green beam when pressed in quick succession. As the Infrared cannot be seen with the naked eye, a separate red LED indicator will flash for 3 seconds to indicate IR flashing mode or stay on for 3 seconds to indicate constant IR beam mode and flash once when you exit either mode. If in any mode for longer than 3 seconds a single press will no longer change modes and if in either IR mode a single press will activate the red LED indicator again to confirm which mode you are in. Hold the button down for 1 second to turn the light of again.

The lamp unit is versatile as it can be attached to clothing, a backpack or a police vest using the integrated clip or with the supplied bracket it can mounted to a helmet with either the velcro section or with bungee cord through the hook and loop design.

It is powered by a built-in lithium-ion battery which is recharged via the USB port on the bottom of the light using the included USB charging cable. The indicator will glow red while charging is in progress and turn green once charging is complete after approximately 1 hour, 30 minutes.

A red power indicator next to the button will flash to show remaining battery power when the button is pressed once with the light off. Three flashes indicates the power level is above 50%, two flashes indicates the power level is below 50% and one flash indicates it is below 10% and should be charged soon.
