The Princeton Tec Helix Backcountry is a compact, lightweight lantern that emits 150 lumens of white light.
The unique switch design is swipe activated, swiping once for high, twice for low and three times for flash.
Powered by three AAA alkaline batteries the Helix BC has a run-time of up to 8 hours at maximum output using it's maxbright LED. Also featured is two Ultrabright red LEDs which help attract attention in an emergency or preserve night vision.
When in high mode both red and white lights are dimmable. This is achieved by swiping right for the white light or left for red light and then pressing down on the swipe pad and then releasing when desired brightness is reached.
The globe is excellent at creating a broad area of diffused light but is also collapsible for easy stowing and transport. The Helix BC has four folding legs so that it can easily stand up when in use and be folded away for transport of hanging.
Metal hook at the top for vertical hanging
Built in hook on each leg for hanging from rope or a nail
