Olight Array 2S Rechargeable LED Head Torch

The Olight Array 2S is the big brother to the Array 2, with extra features such as the wave control as well as button control, a larger capacity battery pack and a red light.

The head torch utilises a white spot LED and white flood LED to give a maximum output of 1000 lumens on the mixed high beam and also offers mid, low and SOS beams. The flood LED is a close range diffused soft light that can be used independently for low, mid and high outputs, and there is also a red LED that provides low, mid and high outputs.

Red light is the best colour for protecting the natural night vision of your eyes and reduces eye strain in low light situations. It is a great lighting source for aircraft cockpits, truck cabins, confined spaces and also useful for particular tasks such as map reading, astronomy and animal watching.

A push button switch on top of the headlamp controls the four outputs, turning the light on in the last used mode (except SOS) with a single press. Once turned on the brightness level in the current mode can be changed by holding down the button and with cycle low, mid, high until the button is released on the desired output. To change between the modes quickly double press the button while the light is on to cycle flood, flood & spot and red. A quick triple press will activate SOS and a single press will turn the light off when in any mode.

There is also a sensor built into the front of the head lamp that allows you to wave your hand in front to control some of the settings. When turned on in either of the white outputs, wave your hand left or right in front of the lamp to switch between the spot & flood and flood, which will turn the spot light on and off. To change the brightness level in either white mode wave your hand up or down in front of the lamp. The wave function cannot be used with or to change to the red setting, and if SOS is activated the wave function will not work.

A built-in 2600 mAh lithium-ion battery pack powers the torch, which sits on the back of the headband, and is charged via the USB-C port. Simply connect the included cable to the USB-C port on the back of the battery pack and plug the USB-A end into a computer or suitable adaptor with an output of at least 1 A. The indicator on the battery pack will flow red to show charging is in progress and turn solid once charging is complete, after approximately 4 hours, 30 minutes.

The indicator light on the battery pack will also light up when the head torch is turned on to display battery power, and helps increase safety by providing extra visibility to others than may be behind you, which is especially useful if out running in the dark. The head lamp can be rotated within a 60° angle so that the light can be directed where you need it most.

It is a lightweight aluminium design that is perfect for a range of activities such as running, camping, fishing, hiking and other general outdoor/indoor activities.
