The Nitecore MH12GT is a rechargeable torch with a maximum output of 1000 lumens and offers four brightness levels as well as strobe, SOS and location beacon.
The torch is operated with the tail clicky switch and also a side mode button. The tail switch provides momentary illumination with a half press and a full press turns the torch on and off. With the light switched on, each press of the mode switch will cycle through ultra-low, low, mid, high and holding the mode switch for 1 second will enter strobe mode. Press and hold the button again to cycle through SOS, location beacon and strobe settings. A single press will revert back to regular brightness settings.
As with all the Nitecore GT models, the MH12GT also features the Cree XP-L HI V3 LED with the domeless design that gives the torch a long, concentrated range with a maximum beam distance of 320 meters.
Powered by a single rechargeable 18650 lithium-ion battery, the MH12GT has the ability to charge the battery inside the torch. Simply turn the torch on first and then plug the supplied charging lead into the USB port and the other end into the computer, or with suitable adaptors it can be plugged into the mains or car charger. The blue indicator light will blink once per second to show charging is in progress and will go out once charging is complete.
The MH12GT can also use two CR123A lithium metal non-rechargeable batteries or two RCR123A/16340 lithium-ion rechargeable batteries however these batteries cannot be charged inside the MH12GT.

Using one Nitecore 18650 3400 mAh lithium-ion rechargeable battery:
High: 1000 lumens; 1 hour, 15 minutes run-time*
Mid: 280 lumens; 6 hours run-time
Low: 55 lumens; 28 hours run-time
Ultra-low: 1 lumen; 520 hours run-time
* The advanced temperature regulation will automatically reduce the output of the high mode after 1 minute to protect the LED from overheating, therefore it is an accumulated run-time.
Note: The ATR will regulate the output in all modes and adapt to the ambient environment to maintain optimal performance. Tested to ANSI standards, the data is approximate and may vary between torches, batteries and environments.

Primary Cells - Please note that CR123A lithium metal primary battery cells are not rechargeable.
Rechargeable Cells - This torch is supplied with a lithium-ion rechargeable battery and a USB charging cable. Mains and car USB adaptors can be purchased separately.
