The Nitecore GEM10 is a professional gemstone identifier that has an Ultraviolet light with a 365 nm wavelength and a variable power output between 5 mW and 3000 mW.
There are various models in the GEM series for different stones and the GEM10UV is best used for larger and raw gemstone inspection due to the wider head design than the GEM8UV. Designed for authenticity identification, fluorescer examination and more, adopting the crystal coating technology with precision digital optics technology for uniform light.
Ideal for identifying small items such as natural Jade without glue-injection which appears transparent under UV, Amber which fluoresces under UV and diamonds which fluoresces blue under UV. The special design has a better beam focus, with the convergent light ensuring a clear inspection and the flat top of the GEM10UV allows for close observation without scratching the item.
The rotary switch is turned clockwise until a click is heard and the light come on at the lowest point and can be gradually made brighter by continuing to rotate the switch, allowing you to select the best output depending on the size of the gemstone. Turn the switch back anti-clockwise until a click is heard to turn the light off again.
The side of the torch has an integrated measurement scale so you can easily measure the size of the gemstone. The GEM10UV is powered by two CR123A lithium metal non-rechargeable batteries or one 18650 lithium-ion rechargeable battery.
The advanced temperature regulation module allows the GEM10UV to regulate its output and adapt to the ambient environment to maintain optimal performance.

Please note: Advanced temperature regulation technology allows the GEM10 to dynamically adjust the output performance according to it's temperature to prevent damaged from over heating. The turbo run-time is tested without the advanced temperature regulation, therefore results may vary between torch, battery and environment.
Tested to ANSI/NEMA FL1 standards in laboratory conditions using 1 x Nitecore 18650 3500 mAh lithium-ion battery.
