Nitecore VCL10 Multi-functional USB Car Charger and LED Light

This Nitecore VCL10 is what has been missing from your car. It is a multi-functional unit with it's primary use being an in car USB charging adaptor to easily charge USB devices while on the go and away from home.

The VCL10 just slots into the car cigarette light port and offers effective charging with QC 2.0 and 3.0 charging available and a maximum output of 2.4 A. The indicator next to the USB port will turn blue when inserted into the car and a device can be inserted to begin charging. If a quick charge device is detected the indicator will change to green. The charger can cleverly adjust the output to suit the requirement of the device being charged and it is compatible with most iOS and Android devices.

Multiple safeguards are in place to ensure your safety and peace of mind, including over-voltage, short-circuit, over-current, and under-voltage protection. The body is also made from durable PC flame retardant material.

As well as charging your devices this adaptor also doubles as an emergency / back-up light, featuring a built-in 240 mAh 3.7 V lithium-ion battery to power the white and red light outputs. The white light provides 25 lumens output and is turned on by holding down the power button, then once on the white light can be changed to the red light if desired by pressing the button once. Hold the button down again to turn the light off.

The head can be tilted within a 90° angle, allowing you to aim the light where required, which particularly handy if you attach the VCL10 to your car arch with the magnetic body to aid changing a tyre for example.

Another useful feature is the oncoming vehicle detection which is made possible with the equipped photodetector. It detects the change in ambient lighting and begins to flash the red warning light from 1 Hz to 10 Hz if a vehicle is approaching. This could be used if you had broken down at the side of the road as you could attach the light to your car or metal warning triangle and set it to the red warning light, then when vehicle headlights are approaching it will alert you with the flashing.

The tip of the VCL10 is made from tungsten steel, allowing the unit to be used as a glass breaker in an emergency and enabling you to escape from the inside of the car or help someone trapped in another car if need be.
