The Fenix ALG-03 V2.0 has been updated to now fit the HM60R, HM61R, HM65R and HM70R head torches, as well as HL55 or HL60R head torches that the previous one was compatible with.

It is designed to attach the compatible head torches to a helmet or hard hat, which is a great alternative to stretching the headband of a head torch around your helmet and faffing around with helmet clips.

The head torch attachment plate permanently attaches to your helmet using the included 3M / TESA water based adhesive tape. Once the tape has been allowed to adhere to the helmet for 72 hours you can then insert your compatible head torch and easily remove when needed.

The bracket of the head torches slide in to the top of the mount, which will then hold your torch firmly in place. The head torch can still be angled up and down on the hinged bracket while in the mount.

IMPORTANT:
The adhesive pads supplied are blue on one side and white on the other. The blue side is TESA adhesive and the white side of the pad is 3M adhesive. For ABS, PS, HiPS and GPPS plastic helmets the blue side should be applied to the helmet, and for other materials the white side should be applied to the helmet. This is important as if applied incorrectly the adhesive could weaken the helmet making it less effective.

Illuminating

On the lowest level the light is a little green. Much better at the other illumination level. Takes a while to charge through the USB interface. The battery lasts well. Good for walking the dog at night around poorly illuminated roads.

What do I think of my Nitecore EDC27 Slim Rechargeable LED Torch. Ace!

I bought my Nitecore EDC27 Slim Rechargeable LED Torch quite a while ago. It has taken me a while to get to know what this amazing bit of kit can do! Well it's a torch! yes but's it's more than that! Yes I know it can be useful when taking the rubbish out to find the item you dropped out of the bag blah blah. Now I am a bit older & a bit more savvy, I have bought some work trousers with many pockets in them for all the things it seems you need to carry around in life. In the long pocket next to my Biro pen & propelling pencil is my torch with it's lanyard attached. So I always have it with me. I have found it useful in many ways, one of which was when I broke down in my very old car, I knew I would have to wait a long time for recovery, so I looked up on my phone what to do on my phone, while changing the light settings on my torch when I needed to find the problem. I had a Hi Vis jacket on, but i was in the middle of nowhere. So I used the flashing setting when the van got near so he could find me that bit easier. Yes it's still a torch you say, yes, another time I was walking down an alleyway on a short cut home, when out popped some unwanted people who I was unsure of, as I got near them they asked if they could use my phone, with that I selected the brightest mode, shone it in their faces to temporarily blind them & ran as fast as I could. So for me it's more than a torch. Something I hardly ever leave home without, useful when you lift drops his keys in an unlit pub car park in the rain on a very cold night.
Other stuff. I find the small screen that displays various different things invaluable. Especially if you are going out on a cold winters night, has the torch got enough of a charge, well you can check that, the slimness of it also comes in handy when in your best bib & tucker (a suit) you can easily hide it in your inside pocket. How long does it last, a long time, I have put a bit of string on a label for when I charge it, I charge it so infrequently I nearly forget which one it is, I do use it a lot! Cost, yes it's expensive, but you get what you pay for, very good quality. I really recommend it! Mister XR

They don't deliver yesterday, but . . . . .

I ordered 3 items on the afternoon of Monday, 8th April, including one that was to be custom engraved. Twelve minutes later I was informed my order had been despatched. At 10 a.m on Tuesday, 9th April my order was delivered. It took me nearly as long to extract the goods from the manufacturer's bubble packaging !
