Fenix TK35 UE V2.0 LED Torch

The Fenix TK35UE V2.0 is the third generation upgrade since the original and has maintained it's popularity, now with a Luminus SST40 LED that offers a 56% output increase to deliver 5000 lumens.

The rotary tail switch designs remains and changes between the three mode settings of tactical (left), duty (right) and lockout (middle). Once the desired mode has been selected the light is operated with the larger tactical push button at the side of the rotary switch and the smaller functional button in the centre of the rotary switch. In either tactical or duty mode the light is turned on and off by fully pressing the large tactical button and half pressing the button will give momentary illumination until you release the button.

In tactical mode only turbo (3500 lumens) and strobe are available and they are changed between by pressing the functional button while the light is on. When the light is switched off and set to tactical mode, pressing and holding the functional switch will give momentary access to strobe and will turn off when the button is released. In duty mode while the light is on, each press of the functional switch will cycle through eco, low, mid, high, turbo (5000 lumens) and holding the button down will enter the strobe, which can be exited again with single presses of the functional button.

The light will not come on when it is set to lockout mode, which is perfect for when the torch is not in use and to prevent accidental activation, especially when being transported in a bag.

The TK35UE V2.0 is powered by two button top 18650 lithium-ion rechargeable batteries (not included) or four CR123A non-rechargeable batteries can be used in an emergency. An external battery charger is required to charge the 18650 batteries if you do not have one already.

A battery indicator displays the battery status for 3 seconds each time the torch is turned on. A solid green light indicates saturated, flashing green is sufficient, solid red is poor and flashing red is critical. When using 18650 batteries, if the battery voltage drops below the preset level, the torch is designed to downshift in brightness level until the eco output is reached. When eco is reached the battery level indicator will constantly blink red to remind you to charge or replace the battery.

The overheat protection will automatically reduce the turbo lumen output if the temperature of the torch reaches 60°C or above in order to protect the LED from overheating. Once the temperature has dropped below 60°C the turbo can be reselected again.

Note: *The turbo and high mode is measured at total run-time including any reduced output levels due to the temperature regulation design.

Tested in laboratory conditions to ANSI/PLATO FL1 standard using 2 x Fenix ARB-L18-3000P lithium-ion rechargeable power batteries (not included) under the temperature of 21±3°C and humidity of 50% - 80%. Results may vary between torch, battery and environments.
