Fenix TK20R V2.0 Rechargeable LED Torch

The Fenix TK20R V2.0 is a compact rechargeable torch, that updates it's predecessor with a higher output of 3000 lumens, utilises a different LED, battery type, switch design and charging port, and throws the beam further.

Equipped with a powerful Luminus SFT70 LED and powered by one high capacity 21700 rechargeable lithium-ion battery, the Fenix TK20R V2.0 puts out a superb performance with a beam distance of 475 metres in turbo.

The included Fenix 21700 5000 mAh lithium-ion battery charges inside the torch via the USB-C charging port for faster charging. The hidden USB-C port is revealed by twisting down the neck of the torch, and the cable can then be inserted and connected to a USB power source. The LED charging indicator next to the charging port will go red to indicate charging is in progress and will turn green once charging is complete after approximately 3 hours, 30 minutes when charging the included battery.

The LED next to the charging port is also a battery level indicator (screw down the neck to reveal) and will light up for 3 seconds when the torch is first turned on, with either a green, green flashing, red or red flashing light to show the battery power remaining and notify you when the battery needs charging.

Unlike it's predecessor, the TK20R V2.0 does not have a side switch and instead features a dual tactical tail switch. Five brightness levels, plus strobe mode are available and operated with the round tactical switch and oval functional switch that are both located on the tail end. The TK20R V2.0 is turned on and off with the tactical tail switch by fully pressing it down, and it also offers a momentary function by half pressing the button (the light will turn off when the button is released). Once the torch is on, the functional switch will cycle through eco, low, mid, high and turbo with each press.

Strobe is activated by holding the oval functional switch for 0.5 seconds when the torch is turned on and a single press will return the torch to the previous brightness setting. With the light turned off you can press and hold the functional switch to momentarily access strobe and the light will go off once the button is released, which is useful for tactical applications. The last used brightness setting (excluding strobe) will be remembered next time the light is turned on.

The torch will generate a lot of heat when used in turbo, therefore the overheat protection will automatically reduce the output when the internal temperature reaches 60° in order to protect the LED from overheating, and once the torch has cooled the turbo mode can be reselected. If the battery voltage drops below the preset level the torch is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until eco output is reached, at which point the light will flash 3 times every 5 minutes to remind you to charge the battery.

For weapon mounted use the TK20R V2.0 is compatible with the Fenix ALG-00 gun mount and the AER-05 tactical pressure switch.

Note: *The turbo output is measured at total run-time, including output at reduced levels due to temperature or the built-in protection mechanism. The over-heat protection will drop the turbo brightness level if the internal temperature reaches 60°C.

Tested in laboratory conditions to ANSI/PLATO FL1 standard using 1 x Fenix ARB-L21-5000 21700 lithium-ion rechargeable battery under the temperature of 21±3°C and humidity of 50% - 80%. Results may vary between torch, battery and environments.
