Silverpoint Daylight X1000R Rechargeable LED Lantern

The Silverpoint Daylight X1000R is a powerful rechargeable lantern that provides up to 1000 lumens of 360° light and offers a choice of high or low cool white output, as well as a warm white output.

A large push button located on the front of the lantern operates all modes, which are cycled through with quick single presses of the push button in the order of cool white high, cool white low, warm white and off. Four LEDs sit above the button and will display the approximate battery status with either 4 lights (75-100%), 3 lights (up to 50-75%), 2 lights (25-50%), or 1 light (0-25%).

The lantern is powered by a built-in 6000 mAh lithium-ion battery that is recharged via the micro USB port on the front of the lantern using the included micro USB cable which is then plugged in to a computer or a mains/car USB adaptor (not included). A full charge takes approximately 6 hours, 30 minutes. There is also a standard USB-A port below the charging port which can be used to charge external devices such as a mobile phone.

A rubberised handle nestles behind the lantern when folded down and can be pulled out for easy carrying and there is also a hanging hook hidden in the base of lantern so that it can easily be hung to provide area lighting.

Sturdy and bright, very good piece of kit, only thing that could have been better if there was somewhere on the lamp to store the charging cable instead of it being a loose item.

I'm very happy with this device. Initially I thought the slider mechanism felt a bit flimsy, but I have now worked through my stock of old batteries and everything works well. Amazing little torch

Even through I’d check the dimensions the torch was much smaller than I expected when it arrived. It feels great in hand, very robust and machined to a high standard. Various modes to choose from and when on high it is amazing how much light this tiny torch produces. Run time seems fine so far also. If in doubt, buy it and you won’t regret. As a side note, Torch Direct…. Quick and efficient service. Full marks :)
