This is a superb torch with a very long range and extremely bright light on max power. The name inscription service is nice touch, particularly with such a valuable item.
I ordered some T7s and an X21 from Torch Direct and both orders arrived promptly. So far no worries. The T7 is an excellent combination of compactness, lightness and brightness and is worth the price. I bought the X21 as I have a 4 acre property on the edge of a village and can use the intense illumination when looking for a dog that has wandered off or occassionally kids intruding. The intense beam and the size and haviness of the casing seems capable of being quite a deterrent if you encounter an intruder in your garden at night. It is of course expensive but in this case you get what you pay for.
All in all I've found my new X21 to be very good. It does what it says on the tin.....very poweful clean white light!! One thing that you can't do that lenser say you can, is to be able to focus the poweful beam of light with your thumb....well that's unless you have MASSIVE hands. In reality one as to use the other hand to either pull or push the the front ent of the torch in order to focus, as oppose to using a thumb. It's no trouble though to have to do this. I would recommend the Lenser X21 to anyone after a powerful torch even though it is expensive.
The torch is fantastic both in performance and quality and the focusing from flood to spot works very well. It is heavy but then this matches the performance. The service from Torch Direct was first class and I received the torch within a day of ordering. Noel.
This is one amazing torch, both in quality and lighting. Yes, it may be a bit heavy to some, but fit the supplied strap, and you can use the torch to light your way without holding it in your hand. To light up a path in front of you to see where you're going you only need the torch on low light, want to check out what's in the distance on high beam you only need to slightly press and hold the on/off switch, let go of the switch and your back to low beam. On high beam, the light given out is awesome and lights up a great distance ahead. The spot/wide beam adjustment is quick, easy and very effective. I checked out some online video footage before buying this torch, but on reflection it doesn't do it justice. 'Torch Direct' were very quick from order to delivery, Thanks.
This torch has a very clean white light and is comparable to the spread and range of a car headlight on low beam. It is quite large and heavy, which may or may not be a downside.
