Brought this torch for mining and caving expeditions. Was really surprised how well the torch lit cavens 350 meters in length coupled with the fact that the mine was slate and slate is renowned for soaking up light. Torch is a little larger than I would of liked but for most applications I don't believe it would be an issue. Well worth spending a little extra on batteries, as the instructions recommend. NiMH with a high mHa. I use 2850 mHa rechargeable and found I get over the odds for light duration. So a conclusion, a well built torch that produces huge amounts of light, well worth the dosh

TK41... surprising! Wednesday, 12 October 2011 - Marco
I bought it as a long-throw counterpart to the TK45, but - TK45's outstanding looks apart - I found it's a definitely better torch! the hotspot is very tight and bright (hence its awesome throw), but the spill is enough bright and wide to give it an excellent beam profile, very useful in all situation - except maybe indoors, where the TK45 can be a better choice and Led Lensers really have an edge... absolutely reccomended!

Very bright, noticeably brighter than LED Lenser MT7. Very long throw. The batteries rattle inside the body and the instructions recommend unscrewing the head if the torch wont be used a for a while. The torch memorizes the last mode used so that it returns to that mode when next switched on. I assume this takes power that would eventually flatten the batteries even when not used. However unscrewing the head enough to stop the torch functioning prevents you keeping it in the supplied box. Despite these minor issues it is a fantastic torch (easily better than any Maglite).
