Bought it looking for something a little stronger than Led Lenser P7 as the Lumen count is significantly higher (50%). While it does appear to give out more light it feels like an additional 15/20%. I have LED lamps in my home and they are very efficient and with that in mind I started looking for a torch / flashlight that could replace my trusty Maglite but could also be carried on evening walks. Already dropped the thing into a water tank, and it has survived unscathed (thankfully). The controlled lighting circuit provides excellent beam quality and the manufacture of the unit is top shelf.

The TK15 is an excellent product built to last with a good operational design. The only thing I would point out is that the fenix TK15 is not 135mm long as stated it is in fact 148mm long. Another good product from fenix and excellent service from torch direct.

This torch is really good and I am delighted with its performance. Just one small point, if you are using the single re-chargeable battery option, make sure that the end cap is really screwed down tight to get a good connection or it may not 'fire-up', leading you to believe there's a problem. A quick call to Torch-Direct and this was explained to me which, put my mind at rest. The service from Torch-Direct has been 1st. Class! Thanks Additional torchMonday, 24 October 2011 - Fred Got this to back up the LD20. It has a broader spread & with the 18650 battery lasts longer. The side button is hard to find & will be impossible with gloves on. Leave on turbo mode or go for one with an adjustable bevel. If the extra light is not important go for the LD20, its a cracking small torch with a good run time with re-chargeable batteries. All my AAs are now re-chargeable far better than duracell.
